-The head of a middle-aged guy recognized as Ebube who was abducted and later killed by suspected assassins has been discovered in a pit at Isiokpo community in Ikwerre local government area of Rivers state. Report says a few suspects who had been arrested by the an Anti robbery Squad in a theft attack confessed to have slain Ebube after kidnapping him at his home in Isiokpo. His severed head was found along other 3 unidentified heads.
- The Defence Headquarters has warned newshounds in opposition to embarking on coverage of security risk areas inside the North East for documentary and others without due authorization from the army. Defence spokesman, Brig.-Gen. Rabe Abubakar, in a declaration on Wednesday stated the exercise is jeopardizing the fulfillment of the continuing army operations within the location and poses a severe security danger to the life of such journalists.
-The Peoples Democratic party, PDP, has counselled President Muhammadu Buhari to quietly vacate the workplace he presently occupy having failed Nigerians. They similarly requested the President to return the country to how he met it earlier when he took over. The spokesperson and a member of the party's Caretaker Committee, Prince Dayo Adeyeye, stated this in a declaration he signed in Abuja on Wednesday.
