Wonders they say will never end. How can a pastor who is supposed to teach people about the ways of God, like living a holy and righteous life, descend so low to defile a teenage girl in his church? Read the following story and you will understand what am saying.
Detectives attached to the Delta Police Command, Asaba, on Thursday arrested the overall Overseer of a church (name withheld) for allegedly raping a seven-year-old daughter of his member.
The police spokesperson within the state, Mrs. Celestina Kalu, stated that the suspect’s church is along Ibusa road, Koka, Asaba, Delta State.
She stated that the raped girl was allegedly lured into the church office with the aim of praying for her. It was in the process of "praying" for her that the "so - called pastor" raped her.
The girl could not hold the incident to herself, consequently she cried to her parents on the problem.
Her parents took her to the Federal Medical Centre in Asaba, where it was discovered that she had been raped after discovery of bruises in her private part.
Kalu stated the matter is being handled at the police headquarters, in which detectives have been assigned to research the matter, adding that upon investigation, the suspect was arrested and he confessed to the crime.
