Niger Delta militants jettison plan to declare Niger Delta Republic yesterday, say Jonathan appealed to them
Ijaw Militant institution, the Adaka Boro Avengers (ABA), who vowed to claim the unbiased Republic of Niger Delta today August 1st, have jettisoned the idea, because former President Goodluck Jonathan reached out and appealed to them to rescind on their decision. The group said this in a declaration released this night. The statement reads in part;
"We adhere to the voice of our human beings, because our struggle is for the Niger Delta humans and no longer for egocentric purpose. however this isn't always the end. More has to come. Our project to cripple the economic system of the Nigerian state will no longer forestall until the Nigerian authorities is prepared to sit down on a roundtable to dialogue and to restructure Nigeria.
We received calls from outstanding leaders like Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, Mrs. Ankio Briggs, leader E. . Clark and mainly King Alfred Diete Spiff calling on the liberty combatants to abort their assignment to declare Niger Delta Republic.
If not for these appeals, we wouldn't have stopped till Nigeria turns into a zero economic system. We are also announcing this for the gain of President Muhammadu Buhari and Nigerian authorities to stop wasting their time with the greedy fellows that name themselves MEND because nothing properly will pop out of them rather than sabotage. The entirety they are pronouncing, not even one will be accomplished. We can by no means agree with anything they are saying and henceforth MEND need to watch their back due to the fact that we have tolerated them for a very long time. sufficient is sufficient, due to the fact they want to set confusion inside the Niger Delta we are ready to start from them.”
