-  No less than six persons were murdered and a few others harmed after suspected Boko Haram suicide bombers assaulted ‎Damboa mosque, in Damboa Local Government Area of Borno State. Those injured were sent to a clinic for treatment.

Justice A.I Allagoa , while taking  decision on the matter recorded by Mr. Friday Nwosu against,Ikpeazu, Uche Ogah, PDP and INEC, on asserted falsification of tax records by Governor Ikpeazu, decided that the offended party, (Nwosu) was not able to  demonstrate that the assessment reports were falsified. The court went further to dismis the matter.


-  A Federal High Court in Abuja Friday maintained   that the nomination of previous Aviation Minister, Stella Oduah, Senator Andy Ubah and others  a year ago to the  national and state legislative elections is  in Anambra State, be retained. Justice Adeniyi Ademola, in a judgment Friday, held that the rundown of applicants, containing the name of Oduah, Andy Ubah and others, submitted to the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the People's Democratic Party was the bona fide rundown of competitors.
