NLNG GETS A NEW MD



The Board of Directors of the Nigeria LNG Limited on Thursday endorsed the elevation of Mr. Tony Attah as the new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the organization.

Mr. Babs Omotowa, who has held the position for almost five years, will come back to Shell International in the Hague, ‎Netherlands, as indicated by an announcement signed by the organization's General Manager, External Relations, Kudo Eresia-Eke.

The NLNG said Omotowa, who was delegated CEO by the board in December 2011, would be greatly missed for his phenomenal vision, polished methodology, empathy and responsibility.

It said Attah, a previous overseeing executive of Shell Nigeria Exploration and Production Company, would assume control from him in the wake of coming back from a task at Shell's Group Integrated Gas business as senior undertakings guide, chipping away at activities in the Netherlands and Singapore.

Attah goes to the NLNG with a 28-year involvement in the Nigerian oil and gas industry, the announcement said.

At NLNG, he will be in charge of supporting NLNG's top quartile execution in supplying condensed normal gas to the world. showcase and propelling the organization's development programs, as indicated by the announcement.

NLNG is possessed by four shareholders, specifically, the Federal Government, through the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (49% ), Shell Gas BV, (25.6 %), Total LNG Nigeria Limited (15%), and Eni International (N.A,) N. V. S. a. r. l (10.4%).
