The Comptroller General of Customs, Hamid Ali, an  associate of President Muhammadu Buhari, was spotted on Tuesday flying with 1st class on British Airways flight from London to Abuja, in clear infringement of President Muhammadu Buhari's order banning Government officials from flying  1st  class.

The BA flight BA83 which took off from Gate 43 of Heathrow Terminal 5, London, on Tuesday, almost an hour behind its booked 10.43pm takeoff time, arrived the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, on Wednesday morning at around 5a.m, with Mr. Ali on board.

The purposes of Mr. Ali's traveling to London stayed obscure as at the time of this report, yet  insiders said the journey was legitimate.

A few travelers on the flight said they saw Mr. Ali situated in the First Class compartment of the air plane during the flight.

A top of the line ticket to and from London costs $11,423.23 (about N3.4million)
