BLACKOUT IN 4 STATES AS NATIONAL GRID COLLAPSES


The Port Harcourt Electricity Distribution Company, PHED, has told power shoppers in Rivers, Bayelsa, Cross River and Akwa Ibom States that the National Power Grid has broke down.

The Head of Corporate Communications of the Port Harcourt Electricity Distribution Company, Jonah Iboma uncovered that PHED is presently getting zero force from the national matrix as an aftereffect of the breakdown which happened on Sunday, 19 June.

He said the ramifications of the breakdown of the national lattice is that most urban communities in the four states are currently seeing power outage.

Iboma included that PHED would hotspot for force from other option sources to alleviate the effect of the breakdown of the National Grid on power purchasers in Rivers, Bayelsa, Cross River and Akwa Ibom States.

He additionally said PHED would appropriate the little power it can produce from option sources inside this period to just clients why should willing pay.

PHED administers power supply to the four States of Akwa-Ibom, Cross Rivers and Rivers, Bayelsa.

In Rivers State customers have begun encountering lack of power supply, particularly in zones that power supply was sufficient.
