CURRENT EVENTS IN NIGERIA




- Boko Haram terrorist institution on Sunday released a new video displaying that the Chibok girls are nonetheless with them. The video claimed through a sworn statement by means of one of the ladies that they were being killed with the aid of the continuing air raid inside the Sambisa forest. The insurgents had similarly threatened to assault Lagos and Abuja.

- The Nigerian Army has declared three humans believed to have link with Boko Haram insurgents wanted. Those declared wanted are Ahmed Salkida, (Ambassador) Ahmed .U. Bolori and Aisha Wakil. Army spokesman, Col. Sani Usman, said they may be to provide facts on the situations and the exact area of the Chibok girls.

-. A Catholic priest, Very Reverend Father Peter Zuni, of the Queen of Apostles Catholic Church, Kakuri parish, Kaduna , has been sacked for allegedly getting married to some  women. It was reported that while one of the better halves is dead, the surviving one disclosed the secret 3 weeks ago. The Archbishop of Kaduna Catholic Diocese, Bishop Ndagoso Manoso, confirmed the story.

- At least 5 persons were killed and thirteen others were injured after three cars crashed on the 0.33 Mainland Bridge, Lagos. The accident occurred at about 6pm on Sunday across the Unilag Waterfront near the bridge. It concerned a LAGBUS, a Rover Jeep and a Hilux pickup.

-A factional  Chairman of the Peoples Democratic party, Ali Modu Sheriff, has stated that he will not permit the Ekiti state Governor, Ayodele Fayose, and Rivers state Governor, Nyesom Wike, to hijack the  party. He stated  that he's going ahead with all the cases he had instituted about the party.

-The Indigenous people of Biafra, IPOB, the day gone by, condemned the decision of the lawyers to its detained leader, Mr. Nnamdi Kanu over their alleged declaration that the director of Radio Biafra had agreed to negotiate with the Federal government for his release. The organization stated the attorneys have been merely acting on their  own volition.

- Chairman of Federal Civil service Commission, FCSC, Deaconness Joan Ayo, has disclosed that a few irregular/unauthorized appointments in the civil service had been carried out. She disclosed this in Abuja on Sunday.

-The immediate past Governor of Imo State, Ikedi Ohakim, the day prior to this says he has withdrawn from  partisan politics, but, said he's going to commit his time to mentoring and operating with the youths of of his home stae, Imo and Nigeria pending when he returns to active politics.

-One Dr. Hassan Yakubu of Jimeta Town in Yola, Adamawa state has been accused of illegally removing of another  person’s kidney.
Malam Abubakar Muhammad, the information Officer, Ministry of health, who mentioned this to newsmen the day before today in Yola, said that an investigative panel to probe the alleged unlawful removal of the affected person’s kidney has been put in place.

- Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti state has once more condemned the authorities of President Muhammadu Buhari saying that Nigerians are struggling because they are  inside the palms of incorrect managers who do no longer know what to do and no longer similarly prepared to be assisted by people who know.
