36 year old Onyekachi Anele presented above, has been captured by the Imo state police charge for purportedly slapping his significant other, 32 year old Chikodi, to her demise at their home in Obibiezena in Owerri North Local Government Area on June first.
the late lady who had three youngsters, two with Anele and one preceding they met, upon the arrival of the episode, addressed Anele as he came back from a vigil at his congregation and inquired as to why he hadn't given his stepson N100 to class.
An irate Anele gave his better half a slap and she struck back. Amazed by her response, Anele gave her another slap which made her weak. He surged her to the healing center where she was affirmed dead. Describing what happened, Anele said
"I got hitched to my late spouse Chikodi Anele more than four years back. She had a child for another man before we got hitched. We have been living respectively in peace. We have two youngsters. Our first youngster, a young lady, is four years of age while the second kid is a kid, who is only one year old. On May 31, 2016, I went to my congregation, Jesus Disciples Fellowship, where we had a vigil. I returned around 5: 30 am and begun playing Christian music. My better half came to where I was and said that I ought to give my stepson N100 naira to go to class. I advised her that I had no cash with me. My late spouse was hypertensive; she turned out to be extremely angry that I didn't give my stepson N100. She began to affront me. I got furious and slapped her. She slapped me consequently. I was stunned by her boldness and slapped her a second time. She tumbled down and blacked out. I hurried her to City Hospital, Nekede. On arriving, the doctor checked her and affirmed that she was dead. I went to the close-by police headquarters at Umuguma and reported the matter to the police and they captured me. I cherish my better half. I had no goal to slaughter her. It was misconception and irritation that incited me to slap her and she kicked the bucket. Up till now, it would seem that a fantasy and a secret to me. " he said
Anele has been in police authority since the occurrence happened. Their neighbors at their home say the couple never had any local battle as they indicated love and regard to each other.
One of the neighbors, Chukudi Eneka said
"They both adored each other; they were a decent family. The fallen angel just brought about this thing. All of a sudden we heard them quarreling. The spouse slapped the wife and the wife slapped him back. The husband then slapped her once more. She tumbled down and blacked out. We thought it was a joke. When she was taken to the clinic, the specialist said she was dead. We are stunned over the occurrence."
Her body has subsequent to been kept at the funeral home.
