LESSONS FROM ESE ORURU

Lessons to learn from ESE Oruru the young lady that was allegedly lured away from her parents at Yenagoa and taken to Kano, married away by force by Danusa, who is currently awaiting trail.
The girl child is faced by many hazards. Hazards of rape, child abuse and child labour, early marriage and other forms of abuse. Today is children's day, and there is need to pay great attention to the Nigerian child. States that have not endorsed the child right act should do so. States that have signed it shoulld implement it. Its not enough to sign it but ensure violators are prosecuted.

As the world celebrates children today, 27th May 2016. one case we should look into is the plight of Ese oruru, who was snatched and forcefully taken to Kano without the Consent of her Parents. The good news is that She delivered a baby girl yesterday 26th May 2016. But one thing is of concern to us. This is a case of violation and ABUSE of a young girl, just 14 years of age. Is it that there is no protection of the Nigerian child? Should we blame the mother of the girl for not being careful enough? Should we blame the girl herself for running away with the boy to Kano? these are questions beckoning for answers.
Her child was delivered on Thursday around 10.15 am at the Government House Clinic in the state capital Yenegoa.
Her elated father, Charles Oruru, affirmed yesterday that the young lady, who was in Junior Secondary School at the time she was professedly snatched, was healthy in the wake of experiencing the early morning work stress.
Ese was professedly snatched in Bayelsa State last August and taken to Kano where she was changed over to Islam and offered without the assent of her folks.
Since she came back to Yenagoa taking after objection by individuals from people in general and the weight mounted by the media, she has been in the guardianship of the police at the Police Officers' Mess in Yenagoa.
Oruru said that the family was amped up for the most recent option to the family, in spite of the circumstances of the youngster's introduction to the world, including that the infant and the mother were doing admirably.
"My little girl was delivered of a baby girl in the morning around a quarter past 10. The mother and the kid are well. She brought forth herself (a child young lady). We are extremely glad that she conceived an offspring securely,'' Oruru said. the case comes up on the 2nd of June, 2016
Ese's snatching case is as of now under the steady gaze of the Federal High Court, sitting in Yenagoa, where her affirmed hijacker, Dahiru, is confronting a five-tally charge of seizing, unlawful coitus and sexual abuse of a minor.
Dahiru has been in jail care taking after his failure to satisfy the safeguard conditions pummeled on him by the court headed by Justice Ajiya Nganjiwa.
