How Long to Cook?
How long you cook your eggs are a matter of personal preference. The whites will set in a few minutes, particularly if you cover the pan for a minute or two. When the whites are just set, the yolks will still be quite runny. This is usually when I pull out a plate and dig in, but if you like your yolks more firmly set, just continue cooking. Gently poke the yolk with your finger every so often to gauge how things are coming along.INGRIDIENTS
1) enough butter/oil to make a thin, even layer on the bottom of your pan
2) an egg
3) salt and pepper (optional)
Materials
METHOD
-
melt butter in your pan, keep the
heat down
- crack
egg into the pan, be careful not to pop the yolk. Now here is the secret to
making your eggs perfect, KEEP THE HEAT TO A LOW TEMPURATURE! the egg should
cook slowly from the bottom, up. it should take about 5 minutes to cook. here's
the beauty of making eggs this way, you don't need to keep an eye on it, go
make coffee, fry up sausage, make toast. when the thick albumen (thicker egg
whites surrounding the yolk) lookvdone and aren't runny, slide the egg onto a
plate and enjoy!
